Konnyaku Grain is low calorie, high fibre, low sugar, low carbohydrate, gluten free, halal and is known to help lower cholesterol and blood sugar when accompanied by regular exercise and consistent consumption.
Konnyaku rice is a grain-shaped substitute made from the corm (tuber) of the konjac plant, which is native to parts of Asia.
Unlike white rice, which is a cereal grain packed with starch, konnyaku is almost entirely composed of water (about 97%) and a unique fiber called glucomannan.
Texture: It is noticeably firmer and more "bouncy" or than white rice.
Flavor: It is naturally neutral, but is excellent at soaking up the flavors of broths, soy sauce, or seasonings.
Preparation: Rice cooker or boil in pot
